Community Training Program
Equipping communities with the knowledge and skills to prevent fever, farm sustainably, and build long-term health resilience.
Knowledge Is the Most Powerful Medicine
Our Community Training Program is designed to equip people with practical, actionable knowledge that they can apply immediately within their households and communities. We believe that informed communities are empowered communities.
Training sessions are conducted in local languages and are designed to be accessible, participatory, and rooted in the realities of everyday life in Mende and surrounding areas.
What Communities Learn
Fever Prevention & Management
Understanding the causes of fever, how to prevent it through hygiene and environmental management, and how to respond effectively when it occurs.
Herbal Medicine Safety
How to safely prepare and use Artemisia afra and other medicinal plants, including proper dosages, contraindications, and when to seek conventional medical care.
Sustainable Agriculture
Practical farming skills including soil preparation, planting, crop rotation, composting, and harvesting to ensure sustainable and productive cultivation of medicinal plants.
Target Groups
Smallholder Farmers
We equip farmers with the skills to integrate Artemisia afra cultivation into their existing farming practices, creating both health and economic benefits for their households.
Women & Youth Groups
We prioritise women and youth as key agents of change — equipping them with skills that benefit their families and create economic independence through medicinal plant farming.
Community Health Workers
We train community health workers to act as local champions for fever prevention — extending our reach deep into communities and providing ongoing support after formal training.
